Joyride passenger killed in QC road crash

A passenger of ride-hailing app Joyride was killed on Jan. 19 after a bus hit the motorcycle he was riding in Barangay Immaculate Conception, Quezon City. According to the Quezon City Police District’s Traffic Sector 4, the motorcycle driver, Jose Labrador, 41, was traversing Denver Street toward Aurora Boulevard when he was rear-ended by a Genesis Transport bus. Police identified the suspect as bus driver Robert Santos. Due to the impact, the motorcycle passenger, 44-year-old Honorio Herrera, sustained several injuries and was declared dead upon arrival at East Avenue Medical Center. The motorcycle driver was still being treated in the same hospital at press time. —ABBY BOISER
