MANILA, Philippines — The local government of Taguig on Thursday said it extended its deadline for business permit renewal payments until January 31.
The deadline was extended through Ordinance No. 17 of 2023 to allow business owners to pay their taxes without a penalty, according to the local government.
“All submissions for evaluation and tenders of payment made between January 20 to January 31 shall not incur penalties or interest. All billing statements issued from the beginning of the year will remain valid until January 31,” it explained in a statement.
Nevertheless, business owners are still required to file their papers for evaluation and assessment of business tax and regulatory fees by January 20, the local government added.
It further reminded business owners that all unpaid billing statements after January 31 will be canceled automatically and that a new billing statement will be issued to them to reflect statutory penalties and interests.
