2 in fake school docus scam nabbed

A former professor and his cohort were arrested on Monday night after allegedly swindling a victim of P22 million in exchange for fake school documents, the Quezon City Police District said. The suspects were identified as Allan Bautista Alba, 38, a former professor of Bulacan State University and Danilo Cabiles Bognot Jr., 30, a job order employee of the Commission on Higher Education (CHEd). A police report showed that the victim, who heads a Chinese education company, requested from Alba and a certain Libert Acibo school documents such as diplomas, transcripts of records, admission letters and certifications from CHEd for 61 Chinese students.
