Teenage boy found dead in jeepney in QC
MANILA, Philippines—Authorities are searching for the suspect who killed a 16-year-old boy in Quezon City Tuesday midnight, police said Wednesday.
Quezon police station 6 commander Superintendent Ronnie Montejo said that jeepney owner Dickson Balala called the police past 1 a.m. Wednesday after finding 16-year-old Bonifacio Vibar dead inside his jeepney. He said that the victim was sitting inside the vehicle, which had been parked along Lacatan St., Batasan Hills village in Quezon City, when the assailant shot him several times.
Montejo said that no one else had come forward with any information on the shooting incident save for the taxi driver who found Vibar slumped inside the jeepney and informed Balala.
“We are looking at all possible angles in the case but have been informed that the victim may have been a member of a gang in this area. We are checking whether he or his gang have any enemies,” said Montejo.
