CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga —At least 4,206 residents in this province on Monday received P4,500 each as payment for 10 days of work under the government’s Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (Tupad).

All beneficiaries in this batch are new because residents could avail of Tupad as a one-time emergency work only, said Arlene Tolentino, Department of Labor and Employment provincial director.

While wages for Tupad workers in 14 towns and two cities of the province had been paid, the program was still being processed in Magalang, Guagua, Sta. Rita, and Apalit, said Luningning Vergara, Public Employment Service Office head of the provincial government.
