LUCENA CITY — Police anti-narcotics operatives arrested a female “high-value” drug trafficker and her two street pushers in a buy-bust operation here on Sunday (Jan. 15) after the suspects yielded more than P452,000 worth of “shabu” (crystal meth).
Lieutenant Colonel Erickson Roranes, Lucena cop chief, said in a report Monday that a joint operation in Ibabang Iyam by the local drug enforcement unit, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, and Quezon police resulted in the arrest at 9:18 p.m. of Maricris Deocales, 30; Neil Jansen Igloria, 27; and Rodrigo Brondo, 30.
Seized from the suspects were 18 sachets of shabu weighing 65.6 grams with a Dangerous Drugs Board value of about P452.640 and P1,338,240 in the street market at the prevailing price of P20,400 per gram, the police said.
Police were conducting further investigations to determine the source of the illegal drugs. INQ
