LUCENA CITY – Four alleged drug traders were arrested after they yielded more than P146,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) following buy-bust operations in Laguna and Cavite provinces on Saturday and Sunday (Jan. 14 and 15), police said.
The Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon) police reported that members of the local drug enforcement unit in Pagsanjan, Laguna collared Jayvee Gaza in a buy-but operation in Barangay (village) Sabang around 6:25 p.m. on Saturday.
Nine plastic sachets of meth weighing 15 grams valued at P102,000 by the Dangerous Drug Board were seized from the suspect.
Meanwhile, suspects Ardee Ramos, Mart John San Jose, and Dimple Legaspi were nabbed in Cardona, Rizal by anti-illegal drugs operatives at 2:10 a.m. Sunday in Barangay Dalig. Four sachets of shabu worth P44,880 were confiscated from the three.
The operatives also confiscated a motorcycle with a sidecar believed to have been used by the suspects in their illegal drug trade.
The police tagged the four suspects as included on the watchlist and classified them as “street-level” drug pushers in their localities.
The suspects were detained and are facing charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
