CLARK FREEPORT, Pampanga — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has appointed lawyer Edgardo Dizon Pamintuan as acting chair and member of the board of directors of the state-owned Clark Development Corp. (CDC).

The appointment letter, dated Jan. 11, was furnished to Delfin Lorenzana, chair of CDC’s mother agency, the Bases Conversion and Development Corp.

The Inquirer obtained a copy on Friday, Jan. 13, through a CDC source.

It is the second time Pamintuan is chairing the CDC, created through Republic Act. No. 7227 to convert Clark, a former military base rented by the United States Air Force until 1991, for civilian and commercial use for economic development of the country.

He was first appointed CDC chair by then-President Rodrigo Duterte.

Pamintuan was a human rights lawyer during the martial rule, served several terms as mayor of Angeles City, headed the National Housing Authority, and chaired the Subic-Clark Development Alliance during the term of then-President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo. INQ
