LEGAZPI CITY — Authorities arrested three drug personalities in a buy-bust operation on Wednesday, Jan. 11, in the Bicol region.
John Love Jalmasco, 35, was arrested around 5:30 p.m. in Barangay Basud in Sorsogon City in Sorsogon province.
Lieutenant Colonel Maria Luisa Calubaquib, Bicol police spokesperson, reported that police recovered 0.6 grams of “shabu” (crystal meth) worth P4,080 in the street market.
Jalmasco is a newly identified drug personality in the area.
A suspect identified as “Iya,” sold at 4:20 p.m. a sachet of shabu to an undercover agent in Barangay Poblacion Norte in Camarines Norte province.
Major Fernand Segundo, Paracale police chief, reported that they recovered three sachets of shabu worth P2,700 and P77,600 from Iya.
In Camarines Sur province, Geronimo Rodriguez, 57, was also arrested around 3 p.m. in Barangay Matacla in Goa town.
Calubaquib said authorities recovered shabu worth P1,000, three pieces of aluminum foil, and a lighter.
The suspects were in the custody of the police as they await disposition. INQ
