3 suspected drug pushers nabbed in Calamba City buy-bust

Police authorities have arrested one of Laguna's most wanted persons in the province following a manhunt operation over the weekend

LUCENA CITY — Three suspected drug pushers were arrested Tuesday and yielded more than P37,000 worth of shabu in buy-bust operations in Calamba City, Laguna.

Anti-illegal drugs operatives first collared Freddie Taopo after he sold P500 worth of shabu to a police agent in Barangay Makiling around 10:45 p.m., the Region 4A police reported Wednesday, Jan. 11.

Authorities seized from the suspect four sachets of meth with a Dangerous Drugs Board value of about P17,000.

Earlier, cops busted Carlo Jay Garcia and John Mark Melad in another sting operation in Barangay Turbina at 8:48 p.m. and seized four sachets of shabu worth P20,4000 from the duo.

The suspects, all identified peddlers of shabu in the locality, were in police custody and wilbe charged with violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
