Fire kills 2 kids in Quezon province

LUCENA CITY — A 39-year-old male teacher died on Wednesday when a fire razed his rented room in Macalelon town in Quezon province.

The Quezon police reported that Limuel Soliman died inside his room in a two-story commercial building in Barangay Rizal after a fire engulfed the structure at 11:20 p.m.

Investigators said Soliman, who occupied a room on the second floor, was found dead after he was trapped and failed to get out of the building during the blaze.

Firemen put out the fire at 1:15 a.m. Thursday.
