October 28 canceled flights due to bad weather

MANILA, Philippines — Cebu Pacific on Monday canceled several flights due to the technical glitch that gripped the country’s air traffic control system on Sunday. 

The Manila International Airport Authority said the  airline canceled the following flights as of 7:00 am:

Meanwhile, the Philippine Airlines also cancelled a flight due to bad weather, according to MIAA.

MIAA said that as of 11:40 am, flight 2P 2932/2933 Manila-Basco-Manila flight is cancelled.

On Sunday, hundreds of flights were either delayed, canceled, or diverted to other airports, affecting over 56,000 passengers who were scheduled to arrive at or depart from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport due to the technical glitch.

Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines Director General Capt. Manuel Tamayo said that the power supply of the ATMC’s Communications, Navigation and Surveillance Systems for Air Traffic Management that had failed and caused damage to key components.
