5 Koreans arrested in Rizal province for allegedly beating up fellow Koreans
MANILA, Philippines—Five South Korean nationals and a Filipino were arrested after allegedly beating up two other Koreans in Rizal province before dawn Monday, a police spokesman said.
Chief Superintendent Agrimero Cruz Jr. identified the arrested individuals as Choi Jin ah, 37; Shin Ki Sik, 28; Dong Ha Him, 33; Park Tae Hyon, 39; and Edward Oh, 38; and the Filipino driver identified as Ariel Sarana Quimpo, 50.
The suspects, he said, were arrested by cops along Don Mariano Avenue Ext., Barangay (village) San Jose, Rodriguez, Rizal around 1:15 a.m. for beating up two other Koreans with a baseball bat.
Cruz Jr. said the suspects are now detained at Rodriguez police station while appropriate charges are being filed in court.
