CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga – A P100,000 bounty has been put up by the city government for information on the killers of a barangay captain who was shot dead in this capital city on Tuesday, Mayor Vilma Caluag said.

A lone gunman approached Sto. Rosario Barangay Captain Jesus Liang as he was walking along Abad Santos St. across the newly renovated public market on Tuesday night.

The gunman shot Liang in the head and fled toward V. Tiomico St. in the same downtown area.

City of San Fernando police chief Lt. Col. Preston Bagangan said no person of interest has so far been held.

He added that the ongoing investigation has so far gathered video clips and conducted interviews to “establish the circumstances leading to the killing, including concrete motives.”
