MANILA, Philippines — Officers-in-charge (OICs) of different executive branch agencies will retain their posts until a replacement is appointed, according to a memorandum from the Office of the President.
Memorandum Circular No. 12 was signed by Executive Secretary Lucas P. Bersamin on Thursday.
“Officers-in-charge (OICs) and CES (Career Executive Service) occupying Career Executive Service positions shall continue to perform their duties and discharge their functions until a replacement has been appointed or designated unless otherwise terminated,” said the memorandum.
According to the memorandum, their continued service will be done according to the specific needs of their respective departments, agencies, bureaus, and offices.
In addition, CES eligibles and candidates occupying CES positions are also allowed to continue their service unless replaced.
“All government officials and employees covered herein shall abide by the high standard of ethics in public service and discharge their duties with utmost responsibility, integrity, competence, and patriotism,” the memorandum further stated.
