“In commemoration of the 126th Rizal Day, the public is advised of a road closure on Friday, December 30, 2022.  A portion of Roxas Boulevard northbound from Katigbak Parkway to South Road will be closed to the public from 4 AM onwards,” the MPIO said.

“Everyone is advised to find alternate routes to your destination,” it added.

Motorists coming in from the southern side of Roxas Boulevard can take the inner service road and turn right to any of the roads leading towards Mabini Street, like Sta. Monica Street and United Nations Avenue.  From Mabini, motorists could take a right turn to T.M. Kalaw Avenue, and can turn left to Maria Orosa Street.

To access Roxas Boulevard again, drivers can turn left from Maria Orosa to Padre Burgos Avenue or enter Intramuros through General Luna Street, and then turn left towards A. Soriano Avenue towards Anda Circle Park.

Motorists heading south of Roxas Boulevard can also take the same route — enter Intramuros through A. Soriano Avenue, turn right to General Luna Street, exit Intramuros and move towards Maria Orosa Street and T.M. Kalaw Avenue, before making a left turn towards Jorge Bocobo Street.

From Jorge Bocobo, drivers can return to Roxas Boulevard through Padre Faura.
