LUCENA CITY – The bodies of two men who were reported missing in Nasugbu, Batangas on Monday (Dec. 26) were found on Tuesday (Dec. 27), police said.
Batangas police reported on Wednesday (Dec. 28) that the Philippine Coast Guard personnel and searchers from the local disaster management office recovered the dead bodies of Marvin Sid-ay, 23, and Mark Aldrin Siringan, 20, submerged in the waters fronting Barangay (village) Calayo around 12:40 p.m.
According to the police, the victims and three others went to a beach resort in the village on Monday around 1 p.m.
While swimming around 4 p.m., the three group members discovered that Sid-ay and Siringan were both missing and immediately informed the barangay officials.
The authorities launched a search and rescue operation until they found the victims on Tuesday.
The police are conducting further investigations and will subject the bodies for autopsy.
