Sara Duterte thanks DepEd personnel for their service to nation on Christmas Day

MANILA, Philippines — On Christmas Day, Vice President and Education Secretary Sara Duterte expressed her gratitude to the personnel of the Department of Education (DepEd) for their work dedication and love for Filipino children.

In a video message, Duterte lauded DepEd staff members for continuing their work despite the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic and other calamities.

“Nagpatuloy kayo sa paggabay at paglinang ng murang kaisipan ng ating mga kabataan para maabot nila ang kanilang mga pangarap sa buhay,” she said.

“Mahalaga ang inyong papel sa ating pag-unlad bilang isang bansa,” Duterte added.

Duterte also wished them joy as they celebrate Christmas, and a peaceful, prosperous, and hopeful New Year.
