THE CEBU Dolphins pulled one off over reigning champions Manila Sharks as they emerged victorious, 12-7, in the Baseball Philippines Series 9 yesterday at the Rizal Memorial Stadium.
The Dolphins broke the game wide open starting in the fifth inning as they strung up four runs.
They added three more in the seventh to create some more separation between them and the Sharks to eventually complete the rout.
Nico Uichico and Joannard Pareja blasted back-to-back, two-run hits in the pivotal fifth as they Dophins broke away from a 4-all count.
The win was needed one for the Dolphins after they were upset by the Dumaguete Unibikers, 3-10, in their opening game last Saturday./Correspondent Jonas Panerio
