Rainy Christmas

Additionally, the state weather bureau said the Philippines will have a rainy Christmas Day because of the shear line and the northeast monsoon.

The northeast monsoon is seen to bring overcast skies with rains over Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Aurora, Quezon, and Bicol while the shear line is anticipated to cause cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Palawan, Visayas, Caraga, Northern Mindanao, and Zamboanga Peninsula.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon and Mindanao, on the other hand, will have fair weather, Pagasa said.

It also said it is not monitoring any low pressure area in the Philippine area of responsibility.
