P7.7-M ‘shabu’ seized in Taguig operation

Some P7,752,000 worth of suspected “shabu” were recovered from a drug suspect in Taguig City on Dec. 23, the Southern Police District said on Saturday. At around 6:30 p.m., authorities spotted suspect only known by the alias Raks carrying a sack along Quiapo Dos, Cagayan De Oro St., Brgy Maharlika Village in Taguig City. According to a police report, Raks dropped the sack and ran after seeing cops. The suspect remains at large. Found inside the sack were one package of Chinese tea and three sachets of suspected shabu weighing 1.14 kilograms. Follow-up operations are being done to arrest the suspect. —Angel Yabut
