LUCENA CITY — A 71-year-old woman pedestrian died after she was hit by a motorcycle in Silang town in Cavite province on Friday night (December 23).

Teresita Miranda, was crossing the Tagaytay-Sta. Rosa road in Barangay (village) Pasonglangka at around 7:30 p.m. when she was hit by a motorcycle being driven by Bernard Ilao, the Region 4A police said in a report Saturday.

The victim sustained grave injuries and was rushed to Tagaytay Medical Center in neighboring Tagaytay City where she died while undergoing treatment at around 1:37 a.m.

Ilao remains under the custody of the police as of this writing.
