LEGAZPI CITY — At least 395 people were evacuated to safer grounds after heavy rains triggered flooding and landslides in Camarines Sur and Camarines Norte provinces.

As of 6 a.m. on Monday, 78 families (247 individuals) were evacuated in Calabanga town, 41 families (135 individuals) in Lagonoy town and three families (13 individuals) in Tinambac town, all from Camarines Sur, said Gremil Alexis Naz, Civil Defense Bicol spokesperson, said in a report.

Disaster officials started the evacuation on Sunday afternoon due to flooding in several villages.

Naz said 39 villages in Magarao, Calabanga, Bombon, Tinambac, San Jose, Presentacion, Lagonoy, Goa, and Caramoan towns reported flooding incidents.

Some roads and spillways were impassable to light vehicles in Lupi, Lagonoy, Goa, and Calabanga.

In Camarines Norte, six villages were flooded in Daet, and a landslide incident was reported in Capalonga.
