LUCENA CITY – Four suspected illegal drug traders were arrested on Friday and Saturday (Dec. 16 and 17) as P238,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) was seized in buy-bust operations in Cavite, Rizal, and Quezon provinces.
Cavite police drug enforcement unit collared Lynclar Reyes in a sting operation in Barangay (village) Malagasang 2B in Imus City around 11:55 p.m. on Friday, the Police Region 4A said in a report.
The suspect, classified as a “high-value” target in the local drug scene, yielded 25 grams of shabu with an estimated Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) value of P170,000.
In Antipolo City, Rizal, anti-illegal drugs operatives busted Christian Nabata in Barangay Cupang around 12:30 a.m. Saturday.
Police seized from the suspect, an identified drug pusher, three sachets of shabu with a DDB value of P34,000.
Meanwhile, in Tiaong, Quezon, Mark Emil Bautista and Meliton Del Mundo, both on the watch list, were arrested in Barangay Lalig around 8:15 p.m., the Quezon police reported.
The duo was found in possession of three sachets of shabu worth P34,000 as per DDB valuation.
The suspects were detained and are facing formal complaints for violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
