SEARCH FOR LOTS

OF the 116 lots of Cebu City, the Division for the Welfare of the Urban Poor (DWUP) only recovered 70.
DWUP head lawyer Collin Rosell said they are now trying to trace the 46 lots, which he believed to have lost their documents.
“We are still checking if asa ni sila,” Rosell told Cebu Daily News.
Rosell said a previous inventory of DWUP shows that 116 lots in Cebu City can be used for socialized housing but the latest inventory showed there are only 70 lots.
Rosell that maybe the records were misplaced or lost.

MAYOR’S CONFIDENCE

CEBU City Mayor Michael Rama said he is confident that he will be able to make his State of the City Address (SOCA) at the City Council’s session hall during their inugural session on July 1.
He said it has been the tradition of the council since 1992 that the mayor will have time to deliver his SOC
“I don’t think the council will break it just like that…. The members of the council… are good people,” he said.
“If there’s someone who is making all the fuss, then I’m sure that one person is not from the council but outside the council.”
He said the councilors need to look back at the early years of Cebu City Council.
“The legislative department and executive department are from the same government and I don’t believe in any friction between us. Unless someone makes a privilege speech and declares war on me, then that’s the only time that I could say that we are at war.”/Correspondent Edison A. Delos Angeles
