Zambales cops collar 31 crime suspects in weeklong operations

An old lair of the communist New People's Army was discovered in this province, police said Monday, Nov. 28.

SAN ANTONIO, Zambales — At least 31 crime suspects were arrested in a series of operations in this province, police said on Tuesday, Dec. 13.

In a report, the provincial police said 19 of those arrested from Dec. 4 to 10 were fugitives.

It said the weeklong operations also yielded six drug suspects with 5.2 grams of alleged “shabu” (crystal meth) worth P35,360.

They also collared six more suspects in a crackdown on illegal gambling during the same period.

All suspects were placed in police custody while awaiting charges or court hearings. INQ
