Cebu hoop camp starts tomorrow

WITH THE SUMMER season already in full swing, basketball players looking to get better in the offseason will have the CEBU Cebu Elite Basketball Summer Training Camp to go to as it kicks off tomorrow at the Cebu Coliseum.

CEBU actually means Character Excellence Basketball Unlimited. This camp aims not just to make participants better basketball-wise but also on the character side as well.

The camp offers basketball skills training which will be handled by some of Cebu’s noted players and coaches. Heading the list is former University of San Carlos, M. Lhuillier Kwarta Padala-Cebu Niños and Cebu Landmasters-Mandaue guard Vernini Tangarorang.

He will be joined on the staff by cam consultant USC head coach and M. Lhuillier assistant tactician Mike Reyes, USC’s Bon Rosito and Albert Alocillo.

The camp will run until Tuesday before it takes a break for the Holy Week. It will then resume on the 9th with sessions from Monday to Friday until the 28th. The beginners level will be at 8-10 a.m. while the advanced level will be at 10-12 p.m. The camp is open to players aged 7-17 years old.
