LUCENA CITY – Eight alleged big-time drug traders were arrested and yielded over P463,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) in Cavite and Rizal provinces on Friday, December 9.
The Region 4A police said in a report Saturday that members of the Cavite provincial drug enforcement unit and local cops in Dasmariñas City nabbed Walter Santos, an alleged leader of a drug syndicate, in a buy-bust operation in Barangay (village) San Esteban around 11:45 p.m.
Aside from Santos, the police team also collared Marites Gadingan, Resalito Guarin, Donita Ragrag, David Santos, and Jaypee Barcelona.
The operatives seized from the suspects seven sachets of meth weighing 50 grams with a Dangerous Drugs Board (DBB) value of P340,000.
The police classified the suspects as “high-value” targets in the local drug scene.
Meanwhile, in Binangonan town in Rizal province, policemen busted Joan Mark Rosaldo and Jeffrey Valdezamo in a sting operation in Barangay Bilibiran around 8:35 p.m.
The suspects yielded seven sachets of meth weighing 18.1 grams with a DDB value of P123,080. The duo was identified as street-level drug pushers in the locality.
All suspects were detained at the local police jails and are facing charges of violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
