Albay folk banned from sailing, crossing rivers due to bad weather

LEGAZPI CITY — Albay Gov. Edcel Greco Lagman has prohibited residents from sailing and crossing rivers for possible river swelling, landslide, and flooding due to a low-pressure area (LPA), the shear line and thunderstorms.

In an advisory, Lagman said local officials should ensure that no small seacraft would sail in their respective areas.

Lagman also advised local disaster offices to monitor continuously and implement necessary local countermeasures.
