Elderly woman dead in Cavite mishap

LUCENA CITY — A 64-year-old woman pedestrian died Wednesday after being hit by a construction vehicle in Silang town in Cavite province.
Laura Evangelista, was bumped around 7 p.m. by a passing backhoe while crossing the road in Barangay Tibig, the Region 4A police reported Thursday.

Investigators said Evangelista suffered severe injuries and died on the spot.
