Crackdown on illegal drugs nets over 200 suspects in Central Luzon

OLONGAPO CITY — More than 200 alleged illegal drug traders in Central Luzon were arrested following the intensified anti-narcotics operations in the region, police said Tuesday, December 6.

According to the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3), lawmen carried out 141 buy-bust operations in the region from November 27 to December 3, resulting in the huge drug haul and arrest of 206 suspects.

Police also arrested 244 most wanted persons in several localities in the region during the same period.

The PRO3 said 66 others were apprehended following the police’s crackdown on illegal gambling, while 12 more were nabbed for illegal possession of firearms. INQ
