Motorists may want to hold off filling their car’s fuel tank full next week as oil companies are expected to implement another hefty price rollback in pump prices, according to industry sources.

An industry source pegged the price of diesel to decrease by P1.90 to P2.10 per liter and gasoline by P2 to P2.20 per liter.Unioil estimated diesel to drop by P1.90 to P2 per liter and gasoline by P1.80 to P1.90 per liter.

If the estimates are right, next week will be the third time that prices of petroleum products will go down.

Last week, firms reduced the price of gasoline by 85 centavos per liter while that of diesel and kerosene prices declined by P3.95 per liter and P2.65 per liter, respectively.

Cumulative adjustments now stand at P16.90 per liter for gasoline, P29.90 per liter for diesel and P25.20 per liter for kerosene.
