Bicol to have overcast skies, rainfall due to easterlies

A low pressure area that exited the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) on Thursday afternoon has reentered PAR.

MANILA, Philippines — The easterlies, or the warm winds coming from the Pacific Ocean, will prevail nationwide on Sunday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said on Saturday.

The easterlies are expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms to the entire Bicol region.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country, while being affected by easterlies, will have fair weather with partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers and thunderstorms.

Pagasa did not raise gale warnings in any seaboards nationwide.

Pagasa is expecting up to two tropical cyclones this December, but they will not form or enter the area of responsibility until the weekend.
