P700,000 worth of crystal meth seized in Albay drug-bust
LEGAZPI CITY – Anti-narcotics agents arrested two suspected drug personalities and recovered more than P700,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) in a buy-bust operation in Daraga town in Albay province on Tuesday afternoon (November 29).
Police Lieutenant Kharren Formales, Albay police spokesperson, said in a report that Ricardo Madara Jr., 26, and Ernie Granadino, 39, sold two sachets of shabu worth P15,000 to an undercover agent in Barangay (village) Alcala at around 2:10 p.m.
During the body search, authorities recovered eight more sachets of shabu and two plastic containers containing the same illegal drugs weighing 70 grams with a market value of P700,000.
The suspects were in custody of the police for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
