MANILA, Philippines — A fire broke out at a residential area in Quezon City on Monday afternoon, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) said.
According to the BFP, the fire at Capoas St. corner Toktokan, Barangay Masambong was raised to the first alarm at 1:11 p.m. and escalated to the second alarm at 1:16 p.m. before it reached the third alarm just a minute after.
Firefighters said the blaze was under control at 1:46 p.m. and put out at 1:59 p.m.
The BFP has reported no injuries or deaths as of this writing, but it said 13 firetrucks and two ambulances responded to the scene.
The investigation was ongoing to determine the cause of the fire and how many houses and families were affected.
