MANILA, Philippines — Warm weather will prevail in most parts of the country, including Metro Manila on Sunday, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
Partly cloudy to cloudy skies and isolated rain showers, however, are also possible.
“Sa malaking bahagi ng Luzon asahan ang mababang tiyansa ng pagulan, and even in other areas like Metro Manila mababa or walang tiyansa ng paguulan,” said Pagasa weather specialist Benison Estareja.
(In most parts of Luzon, there is a slim chance of rain, and even in other areas like Metro Manila there is little or no chance of rain.)
Estareja also noted that a cloud cluster was spotted east of the Visayas and may bring rain on the eastern part of Visayas by Monday.
LPA spotted
A low pressure area (LPA) was also spotted outside of the Philippine area of responsibility, estimated to be over 2,000 kilometers east of Mindanao.
“Inaasahang lalapit ito sa ating kalupaan at posibleng magpaulan as early as Nov. 30, at magpapatuloy ang pagulan sa malaking bahagi ng Mindanao at Visayas hanggang unang araw ng Disyembre,” said Estareja.
(It is expected to approach land and possibly trigger rains as early as Nov. 30 until the firsy day of December.)
The said LPA may also intensify into a typhoon.
