PNP’s week-long operations yield P2.8-M illegal drugs in Central Luzon
OLONGAPO CITY–More than P2.8-million worth of illegal drugs were confiscated in Central Luzon following a series of anti-narcotics operations in the region recently, authorities said Monday, Nov. 21.
In a report, the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) said 159 suspected drug traders in the region were also arrested from Nov. 13 to Nov. 19.
The suspects yielded a total of P2,883,410 worth of illegal drugs, mostly “shabu” (crystal meth), in 109 separate police operations last week.
The PRO3 also reported arresting 175 most wanted persons in the region during the same period.
At least 93 others were arrested during the region-wide crackdown on illegal gambling, while 57 more were nabbed for illegally possessing firearms. INQ
