MANILA, Philippines – Scattered rain is expected in 10 areas across the archipelago due to the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) and the easterlies, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said on Tuesday.
Pagasa weather specialist Aldzar Aurelio, in an early morning forecast, said ITCZ-induced overcast skies and sporadic rain showers will persist in Zamboanga Peninsula, Palawan, Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi.
Meanwhile, the easterlies will likewise trigger cloudy skies and scattered rainfall in the Bicol Region, Cagayan, Isabela, Aurora, and Quezon, he added.
Aurelio further noted that fair weather will prevail in Metro Manila and the rest of the country, but isolated rain may still be encountered due to the ITCZ or localized thunderstorms.
