MANILA, Philippines – With the holiday season around the corner, Cebu Pacific is adding more domestic and international flights as travel restrictions continue to loosen.
The Gokongwei-led airline on Monday announced an increase in the frequency of offered flights to Cebu starting December 1. Flights will also be available in Brunei, Jakarta, Seoul (Incheon), Taipei, and Hong Kong.
“We know that many are raring to travel again to their favorite local and foreign destinations, so we are very excited to mount these additional flights as we approach the holiday season,” Cebu Pacific chief commercial officer Xander Lao said in a statement Monday.
The increase in the frequency of flights per week for the routes to and from Cebu are as follows:
- Cebu – Iloilo – Cebu: From 21 to 25 times
- Cebu – Dumaguete – Cebu: From 14 to 18 times
- Cebu – Legazpi – Cebu: From seven to 10 times
- Cebu – Surigao – Cebu: From seven to 10 times
- Cebu – Pagadian – Cebu: From 10 to 11 times
- Cebu – Tacloban – Cebu: From 25 to 28 times starting December 16
Meanwhile, this is the updated weekly frequency of Cebu Pacific flights to Brunei, Jakarta, Seoul (Incheon), Taipei, and Hong Kong.
- Manila – Brunei – Manila: From 2 to 4 times from November 27, 2022 until January 25, 2023
- Manila – Jakarta – Manila: From 3 to 5 times from December 1 to December 13, and 7 times from December 14, 2022 to January 31, 2023

- Manila – Taipei – Manila: From 3 to 7 times starting December 10

Cebu Pacific Air Inc. earlier reported that its net losses from January to September stood at P12.05 billion, notably lower compared to nearly P22 billion in the same period a year ago.
This situation, the airline said, was “primarily driven by [a] significant increase in passenger volume, cargo services and flight activities as the COVID-19 restrictions already eased by March 2022.”
