LUCENA CITY – Police arrested a notorious illegal drug trafficker who yielded more than P800,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) and an illegal firearm in Padre Garcia town in Batangas province on Friday morning (November 18).

Police Colonel Pedro Soliba, Batangas police chief, said anti-illegal drugs operatives armed with a search warrant swooped down on the house of Marco Amparo, 29, in Barangay (village) Bukal at around 8:11 a.m.

The authorities reportedly found four packs of shabu weighing 123 grams with an estimated Dangerous Drugs Board value of P836,400.

The police also found an undocumented loaded caliber .38 gun, two air gun rifles, two toy guns, a digital weighing scale, and shabu sniffing paraphernalia.

The report said the suspect also had an illegal drug case in Quezon province.

The suspect was placed under police custody and would face charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and another case for illegal possession of a firearm.
