SUBIC, Zambales — A 19-year-old resident of this town has returned a bag containing P70,000 cash that he found on his way to a hospital to admit a relative.

The police said Tuesday that Arjay Piletina of Barangay Wawandue brought the bag to the authorities despite his financial predicament.

Also found in the bag were identification and ATM cards, which helped the police trace their owner.

Police said the bag’s owner had expressed gratitude to Piletina for his honesty.

Piletina’s “act of kindness” was also recognized by the police, who said he had set a “good example.” INQ
