7 drug suspects nabbed in Bicol buy-busts

Seven suspected drug personalities were arrested by police in separate buy-bust operations in Camarines Sur province on Saturday, Nov. 12, reports said Sunday, Nov. 13.

LEGAZPI CITY – Seven suspected drug personalities were arrested by police in separate buy-bust operations in Camarines Sur province on Saturday, Nov. 12, reports said Sunday, Nov. 13.

Police Major Divino John Pelea, Baao police chief, said in a report that Francis Manuel De Lima, 43, was arrested in Barangay (village) Sagrada at around 10 p.m. Police recovered .25 grams of shabu (crystal meth) and .2 grams of marijuana worth P1,700.

Pelea said that De Lima was tagged as a street-level individual drug pusher.

In Pili town, Ramon Vasquez, 57, was also arrested in Barangay Del Rosario at around 9:48 p.m.

Police Lieutenant Allan Macoy Jr., Pili police chief, said Vasquez sold a sachet of shabu to an undercover agent in the said area.

In Goa town, authorities confiscated three sachets of shabu worth P2,500 from Jose Cariño Jr., 39, in Barangay San Benito at around 7:20 p.m.

Police Colonel Julius Caesar Domingo, Camarines Sur police chief, said in a report that Antonio Patiga, 32, was also arrested in Barangay Tres Reyes in Bato town at around 8:13 p.m. A sachet of shabu worth P500 was recovered from Patiga.

In Ocampo town, Henry Broqueza, 37, was arrested in an operation in Barangay San Francisco at around 6 p.m. Four sachets of shabu worth P1,500 were seized from the said suspect.

In Iriga City, John Lloyd Castroverde, 22, was also arrested in Barangay San Agustin at around 5:15 p.m. A total of five grams of shabu worth P30,000 was seized from Castroverde, who was a newly-identified drug personality.

In Lagonoy town, Jomar Moreno, 24, was arrested in Barangay San Roque at around 4:20 p.m. Police recovered three grams of shabu worth P20,400 from Moreno, a former drug surrenderer.
