22 road projects in 5 Metro Manila cities this weekend, says DPWH
MANILA, Philippines—The Department of Public Works and Highways reminded motorists and the general public to expect the buildup and slowdown of traffic in some sections of major thoroughfares in five cities in Metro Manila with the continuation of road-improvement and maintenance works.
The 22 road projects will start 10 p.m. Friday night and end 4 a.m. Monday.
In Manila, the road repair and maintenance projects will be on Bonifacio Drive from Anda Circle to 2nd St. in Port Area; south-bound of the South Superhighway from Zobel Roxas Street to Quirino Avenue; Osmeña Bridge 2 from San Andres Street to Zobel Roxas; A.H. Lacson Street from Rotonda to Ma. Clara Street in Sampaloc; España Boulevard from Corola to Welcome Rotonda; Nagtahan Fly-over Service Road R. Magsaysay Boulevard to Ruiloba Street; and Magsaysay Boulevard Sociego to Rotonda, also in Sampaloc.
In Makati City, road works would resume along the southbound lane of the South Super Highway from Zobel Roxas to the Buendia Flyover; and along Pasong Tamo Street between the Makati Diversion Channel and EDSA center lane.
In Quezon City, two road projects will be on EDSA: 4th lane northbound from Corregidor Street to Fema Road and third lane (southbound) from Bansalangin Street to West Avenue.
Other works in Quezon City are those along Aurora Boulevard (eastbound) from F. Castillo Street to J.P. Rizal Street; Araneta Avenue from Baloy Street to Landargun Street, specifically the first lane from sidewalk; one lane of N. Domingo Street from Balete Drive to Rosario Drive; one lane of 15th Avenue between Ermin Garcia Street and Aurora Blvd.; Boni Serrano Avenue between 15th and 13th Avenues; and second lane from the sidewalk of Boni Serrano from EDSA between 3rd and 1st Avenues and 1st and West Avenues.
Article continues after this advertisementIn Pasay City, the road works will be on the southbound of Aurora Boulevard from EDSA to Aurora Bridge; in Muntinlupa City, Daang Maharlika; and in Taguig City, C5 Road (Carlos P. Garcia Avenue) southbound.

The DPWH said the projects have been coordinated by its National Capital Regional Office with the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority.
