FEATURED STORIES

Based on a report submitted by case investigator Senior Police Officer 2 Virgo Villareal of the Manila Police District (MPD) homicide section, two men identified as Ricky Roque and Jerome Balendo were on their way home to Tondo on a motorcycle at 3:30 a.m. when two black motorcycles with two riders each blocked their path on Quiricada Street, near San Lazaro Hospital.

The back riders alighted from their motorcycles and one declared a holdup while pointing a .38-cal. revolver at the two victims. The unarmed man then took Roque’s shoulder bag while the other tried to take their motorcycle.

At this point, a police patrol team from MPD Station 3 led by SPO3 Rowell Robles spotted the robbery and tried to accost the holdup men.
