Bulacan community journalist writes 30

CITY OF MALOLOS, Bulacan–A community journalist in Bulacan province had died of lingering ailment and was laid to rest in this city on Wednesday (Nov. 9).

Ma. Roseth Reyes Eleogo-Cho, 38, a native of Barangay Maysantol in Bulakan town, succumbed to stage 4 cervical cancer on Nov. 4 at her residence in Barangay Caniogan here.

In 2006, Cho established the Bulacan-based Ronda Balita, a multimedia source of news, and also served as its account manager and writer.

She was a former secretary of the Bulacan Press Club; also wrote for the Bulacan paper, News Core; and was regarded as a hard-hitting columnist by her colleagues.

Cho, a niece of this writer, was buried at Galilee Memorial Gardens in Barangay Pinagbakahan here.

She is survived by her husband, Manny Balbin, a reporter of the Philippine News Agency, and their children, Franceska Rose, 19, Guia Trisha, 16, and Drigo Ross, 9. INQ
