MANILA, Philippines — Cloudy skies and rain showers are expected in parts of the country on Thursday due to the shear line and intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ), the state weather bureau said.
In its Wednesday afternoon forecast, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Eastern Visayas, the Caraga and Davao regions in Mindanao can expect cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the ITCZ.
The shear line will bring similar weather conditions to Batanes and Cagayan.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country are expected to have fair weather with partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms, Pagasa added.
No gale warning was raised over any of the country’s seaboards.
