Mild quake rocks Baguio

BAGUIO CITY, Philippines—A magnitude 3.4 quake jolted this city at 3:31 p.m. on Thursday amid strong rains, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).

The quake lasted for no more than a second. No casualties or damage to property were reported here by the Office of Civil Defense.

A Philvolcs bulletin posted online said the intensity 3 quake (only people indoors could feel the movement) was of tectonic origin.

The summer capital was heavily damaged by the July 1990 Luzon earthquake.
