Bongbong Marcos leads aid distribution in Antique towns hit by Paeng

MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. on Tuesday visited and led the distribution of government aid to areas in Antique hit by Severe Tropical Storm Paeng.

Marcos said he and other government officials conducted an aerial inspection of the area to assess the damage caused by Paeng.

(We are just checking that the distribution of aid is orderly because we are already hit by a typhoon so at the very least the distribution of aid should be done smoothly.)

(That’s why we are here to check the damage and we will do everything we can to return things to normal so that livelihood here will continue.)

Marcos also thanked Antique residents for their support, especially in his 2022 presidential campaign, assuring them that the government will assist them.

(Thank you for your support and what I can do to repay your support and love for me, my family and now my administration, is good service that will help us recover.)

(Expect that we will always be there even though you cannot see us. When there are calamities such as storms, know that we are doing all that we can.)

Antique governor Rhodora Cadiao earlier said several medicines are needed after Paeng battered parts of the province.
