DPWH: 2 lanes of landslide-hit Pagudpud highway now passable
LAOAG CITY, Ilocos Norte — The two lanes of the landslide-hit portion of a national highway in Pagudpud town in this province are already passable to motorists, the regional Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) said Sunday, Nov. 6.
Although clearing operations continued, the DPWH said all types of vehicles could now pass through the Manila North Road at Pancian village.
Motorists were asked to take extra precautions while traversing the area as it deployed a team to assist in the area.
The highway, which links Ilocos Norte to the Cagayan Valley provinces, was recently closed due to the recurrence of major rock and landslides there. INQ
