Active COVID-19 cases in Zambales triple in 3 days

SAN ANTONIO, Zambales — The number of active COVID-19 cases in this province has tripled in the last three days, according to data released by a local health office Monday, Nov. 7.

In its latest update, the provincial health office reported that the number of active cases increased from five to 15 after registering 12 more cases between Nov. 4 and Nov. 6.

Data also showed that only two recoveries were reported during the same period.

Four towns that recently tallied zero active cases have recorded newly infected patients.

Five other towns—Palauig, Sta. Cruz, Candelaria, San Felipe, and Cabangan—maintained their COVID-19-free status.

Since the pandemic started in 2020, the province has logged 12,510 COVID-19 cases, 11,775 recoveries, and 720 deaths. INQ
